About Scott
Scott Brown is an Alabama watercolorist whose work moves between traditional painting and the lively shorthand of line and wash.
For more than 25 years, Scott has studied the balance between control and accident that makes watercolor such an appealing, and occasionally uncooperative, medium. His artistic development includes studies with Huntsville artist Chuck Long and nationally recognized artists Keiko Tanabe, Dan Marshall, Iain Stewart, and Geoff Allen.
Scott is a Signature Artist and board member of the Watercolor Society of Alabama. His work has appeared in The Lakeside Life, Madison Living, and 256, and in exhibitions throughout Alabama.
After a long career in technology, Scott now paints from his home near Smith Lake in Crane Hill, Alabama.
